Snapshot tool on Adobe Reader (from 2023)
How do I do a snapshot on Adobe FREE reader from 2023
To carry out a Snapshot on Adobe’s latest version of their free Portable Document, [pdf], reader the process is slightly different from their software before 2023;
Firstly click on the three bars from the top left of the screen, and then from the resulting drop menu
select the ‘Undo, Redo & more...’ option as above, then 'Take a snapshot'
1 - Select the area you want to copy by holding down the left click on your mouse, and drag around the area you wish to copy, then let the button go
2 - Adobe will automatically 'copy' the area you have highlighted to your 'clipboard', all you need do is click 'OK'
Don't worry if you didn't get the exact area you wanted, you can easily redo the process until you are happy.
1 - Click on the 'Print' icon to open the printer dialogue box
2 - Select the 'Custom scale' option, and then enter the 'percentage' from original size you are looking for, larger than 100% to increase the size, less than 100% to reduce
3 - Then click on the small printer viewer screen to see how your image will look, don't worry we aren't printing yet!
1 - Now you see what size your image will look, if that's OK go to '3'
2 - You can reselect the scale if you want to adjust further, just remember to click back on the printer preview to see what changes you have made
3 - ⚠️ Are you intending decoupaging, or layering your image up? Because we have taken a 'snapshot' using the mouse, it is going to be very difficult to recreate that exact snapshot again, so remember to print the amount of images you require now 🤩
4- All good? Hit Print and enjoy your resized image(s)
