Debbie Moran

Hello, I'm Debbie Moran, I reside in South Yorkshire, I have 2 furry babies. They are my beautiful cats, Ayieshia a Ragdoll who is 18 and Lucia a Ragamuffin who is 16.

After leaving school at 18 I did a one year Art Foundation Course before going on to do three years Teacher Training course in Textiles and Children with Special Needs. Upon gaining my qualification I taught in Secondary schools for 5 years before leaving the profession to become a Local Government Worker. Then I retired in October 2015. After having a few years off I decided to go back out to work.

I have crafted all my life really, my mum taught me how to sew (dressmaking and home furnishings), embroider, knit and crochet, Every Saturday I used to go to my grandparents and do some of the peg rug. I moved into Paper Crafting about 30 years ago and has been my passion ever since. I used to have a craft room but now I have a craft home.

What first inspired me to start Paper Crafting was a visit to a local hobby store on my way home from work one day, I purchased a few card blanks and accessories and I can say I haven't looked back since then. I love fussy cutting decoupage and digital crafting.

I decided to become a Design Team member many years ago now, because I needed to give my paper crafting a new focus. I love to share my designs and ideas with other crafter's both new and experienced to give them inspiration to help them with their own creations.
