A little more on Mandy.

Hi everyone, I'm Mandy Alexander, I live in London.

I consider myself to be a full time crafter, I run my own business, M T Nest Designs and that gives me the freedom to work from home. Alongside paper crafting I also enjoy jewellery making, crochet and sewing.

Another big hobby of mine is watching TV and movies, some of my favourites are:

A few random facts about me, my favourite colour is teal, I'm a May baby and my star sign is Taurus, I don't have any pets, my favourite season is Spring, it's just such a pretty time of year, my favourite music is 1990's R&B or anything by The Weeknd, my guilty pleasure is to put my Christmas tree up as early as I can, mid November is ideal for me and my favourite quote is " Well behaved women seldom make history".

I have always enjoyed crafting/making, even as a young child. I don't really have a favourite craft as I love all the different ones I do. My favourite medium to work with changes depending on what craft I'm doing, for example, when I crochet I like to work with a good quality soft cotton yarn, in jewellery making its wire and for paper crafting, it would be stamps.

If I had to choose between pens or pencils, I couldn't, it would have to be both and if I had to choose between dies or SVG's, at the moment it would be dies, I have a decent collection, but it's mostly because I haven't been able to work with an electronic machine machine, although I'm hoping to change that very soon.

My best project was probably something I did in 2024, it was a year long challenge, I crocheted over 60 Christmas stockings, sewed the linings for each of them and then hand stitched them in place, each stocking was filled with handmade gifts and every one of them was tailored to the individual recipient.
