A little more on Mandy

Mandy Cameron, Crochet and Knitting Designer, Guest Presenter, Tutor and Demonstrator, turned her hobby into her career and has never looked back! 😍

Now appearing on Sewing Street showing her stitching expertise on behalf of The Crafty Witches, her talent comes from a background of dressmaking including the intricate details of bridalwear. Mandy has also been a firm favourite on Yarn Lane TV and Create and Craft TV demonstrating her skills in Crochet and Knitting. From fashion items to home decor and animals galore, she works with a variety of fibres and fabrics to develop designs that keep it simple and rewarding.

"Being able to Present and Demonstrate crochet, knitting and sewing gives me the opportunity to share my passion, enjoyment and knowledge in the hope that it entices the beginners to try it, the ones who gave up to start again and to encourage those already enjoying crafts to challenge themselves more. The pleasure I get is immense not only in giving but receiving, that realisation, that smile when the crafter has cracked it, says it all".

Taught by her Mum and Nan, both avid knitters, Mandy has been knitting since she was about 5 years old. Her Nan also started her on her dressmaking journey and she made her first skirt when she was 11. From scarves to cardigans, Fair Isle to Aran and Rara skirts to bridesmaid dresses, Mandy’s enthusiasm and passion for craft is infectious, her experience and knowledge is immense.

Mandy's speciality is architecture with yarn. Her Crochet Critters® designs have been used in kits that dress many a High Street store's shelves such as John Lewis, TK Maxx and The Range.
