Wendy Hood

I’m a born and bred Geordie and live in North Tyneside. After a long career as a Chartered Physiotherapist and University Lecturer, I now do freelance work as an accreditation assessor for public health courses.

I have been paper-crafting for around ten years, and spent several years on the Crafter’s Companion and Spectrum Noir design teams before moving to the digital crafting world with Sharon Callis’s design team. I love most forms of paper crafting, particularly die-cutting, stamping, inking and colouring, and I also enjoy making foam flowers. I am relatively new to digital crafting, but one of the things I like about digital cutting machines is the ability to alter the size of cut outs to fit your project, and what’s not to love about the Crafty Witches’ fabulous artwork?

Outside of crafting, my other creative pursuits include writing and music-making. I play several musical instruments and have had some short stories published.

My favourite season is winter, my favourite colour is purple, and I adore cats, though to be fair I’m a softie for any animal with four legs and fur.
