How to use our products

How do I use your products?

How does this all work?

Once you have made your purchase(s), and downloaded and unzipped the respective folders, (see our ‘How To’ section to find step by step instructions), you now have access to your Crafty Witches goodies.

On Windows based PC's and Laptops using Windows XP, Vista 7,8,10 & 11, we have an easy-to-use interface for our paper craft collections and kits which is accessed by an 'Autorun' executable file in your download. This file will be easily recognisable, as it has a disc icon.

On Apple/Mac, Chromebook, Linux, Apple mobile OS (inc iPad), Android and derivatives, users may still access all pdf artwork, but must browse the 'Autoplay' then 'Docs' folder using the associated explorer software relevant to your device. Please do not be tempted to print items from the 'Images' folder, where applicable, on the download; these files are only thumbnails, and are only included to allow the Windows autorun function to operate and are not suitable to print and craft with. Please also ensure your device also has an appropriate PDF, [Portable Document Format], reader, and where applicable, the correct manufacturers application installed if you intend printing from your device. Please do refer to your relevant devices website for details.

Where a kit contains a paper craft collection and either/or digital stamps and SVG Cutting Files, they can be located by use of the file explorer in the 'Autoplay' then 'Docs' folders.

How do I print them, do I need a special type of printer?

Any colour printer available commercially can be used to print your PDF pages, you don’t have to buy an expensive top end model, that said if you want to do special projects then you will likely have done your homework before hand; either way you can expect a professional print as the images we supply are of professional printer standard. This is where our generous Angel Policy comes in. You can print your images on to just about anything that’ll go through your printer; craft card, super smooth paper, card stock, tissue, rice, printable acetate, iron on transfer paper, sublimation paper, fabric….. you get the idea.

There is a whole document on printing in the How To section, but if you know your printer you’ll know how to get the best from it. In general terms for paper crafting we’d advise a quality super smooth printing paper, like Lynda Chapman’s Paper Emporium; set the print setting to ‘Best’, ‘High’ or ‘Premium’, the paper stock to ‘Matte Photo’ and the printing size to 100%, (with borderless setting on if supported)

For our digital Cutting Files

For our cutting files we use the Scaled Vector Graphic [svg] format, and if are not part of another download, are supplied in their own zipped file. These files can be used in any electronic machines that support that format.

You can find out more on the SVG Cutting Files on our information platform - here
