How to get the files on my computer

 

What happens after I make my purchase?

Once you have completed your transaction on the website, you will need to go the ‘My Account’ tab on the Home page of their site


When you click the link, if you are not already logged in, you will be invited to do so.

Once you are logged in, you will be presented with your option to go to ‘My Account’ or to ‘Sign Out’

From the next page select the third option down from the list menu on the left-hand side of the screen – ‘Order History’

You are presented with all your recent orders, (physical and digital), including the order number, (partially obscured here for security), the date of order, status, but most importantly for us here, the ‘View Order’ link.

The chances are if you have just purchased your digital collection, the link you will be looking for will be the first one on the list, so give it a click.

You’ll instantly know this is the order you want as the Thumbnail, (or header page), of the collection is shown.

As you can see here there are three links underneath the product description, the one we need to be clicking is the middle one; ‘Downloadable content’.   Once you click this, the download of the digital collection will automatically start to your device.

Depending on the device, it’s operating system and your browser this will look different here, suffice to say, whatever device you use it is likely you will know where this will end up but in general terms you’ll need to hit the folder icon and find the folder ‘Downloads’ where you can find your download ready to unzip/decompress:

I have questions!

·        Nothing is happening when I click the link?

Your device may be downloading the content in the background. As shown in the pictures above, have a look in your downloads file and see if the content is there. If you have any issues, do get in touch in the first instance with the HobbyMaker Customer Service Team.

·        It appears that the content is different. What do I do?

Like ourselves, HobbyMaker have processes in place to ensure everything runs smoothly, but errors can happen. In the first instance get a hold of their Customer Service team who will be able to resolve the issue.

·        My download the other day took moments, why is my Pollyanna one taking forever?

Yes, that may be correct. it’s to do with the size of file, and your internet connection speed. Check out the help file ‘Large Downloads’ in the library.

·        I’m a Coven Club member, but my discount hasn’t been applied?

The Coven Club discounts only applies to purchases made on The Crafty Witches website, and not to the HobbyMaker site.

·        I’m not getting any email with a download link, is this correct?

Yes, this is correct, you will have an order confirmation, but the content is instantly downloadable using the method described above.

If you have any issues downloading, contact HobbyMaker’s Customer service team in the first instance, and if there are any issues arising thereafter, that they think would be better resolved by one of The Crafty Witches, they will contact us to take over.

·        You talk about unzipping, and decompressing what is that about?

This process and format is the best way to deliver multiple files securely and the best way to ensure no data is removed or lost in the process. Check the ‘Unzipping’ guides, to find all you need to know.
